LICENSE & CE INFORMATION

Next Broker Renewal Date is 4/30/2026

• For the 1st RENEWAL of a Broker license (newly licensed on or after 11/1/2023) the 45-HOUR BROKER POST-LICENSE EDUCATION is required instead of core and elective continuing education. Go to Broker Post-License Education for details.
• If this is your 2nd RENEWAL or MORE (license before 11/1/2023) you need 12-HOURS OF CORE & ELECTIVE CE (6-Hour Core which includes 2 hours of mandatory Fair Housing training, and 6 hours of electives).

Sponsorship is No Longer Required to Renew/Keep a Real Estate License

• Keep the license you worked so hard for. Association/sponsorship with a sponsoring broker or self-sponsorship is no longer required to renew/keep a Broker or Managing Broker license with the State of Illinois. To renew an unsponsored license, you need to complete the require education and pay the renewal fee to the state. An unsponsored license status is “Inactive”/”Inoperative” meaning you CANNOT do any licensed activities or receive any referral fees.
